AZ-NGA acquires mid-tier accounting stake

Paul Barrett’s AZ Next Generation Advisory has taken a strategic stake in mid-tier accounting and financial advice firm, McLean Delmo Bentleys.
AZNGA announced the strategic stake today describing it as part of its rapidly expanding footprint in Victoria.
McLean Delmo Bentleys employs around 90 staff across accounting, auditing, insurance and wealth management along with around five mortgage broking staff.
Commenting on the move, AZ NGA chief executive, Paul Barrett noted that McLean Delmo Bentleys had been around for over 50 years and had a great reputation.
“For AZ NGA, there are only two reasons to enter into a strategic partnership: capability and capacity,” he said. “McLean Delmo Bentleys offers both.”
“They are a clear leader in the mid-tier accounting space and this is a significant and important deal for us,” Barrett said.
McLean Delmo Bentleys chairman, John Delmo said the partnership with AZ NGA presented opportunities to build a national household accounting and advice brand.
He said that in the last seven years the firm had made five acquisitions including three in 2022.
