D-day for FPA/AFA merger

Today is merger Decision Day for members of the Financial Planning Association (FPA) and the Association of Financial Advisers.
Members of the two associations will vote on whether to back merger which would give rise to a combined entity – the Financial Advice Association.
Early indications, including proxy registrations, point to the yes vote prevailing in both organisations.
AFA members are scheduled to have completed their vote before members of the FPA signal their intentions with the outcome to be known ahead of a joint briefing from 3pm today.
