Fortnum appoints new practice manager

Former National Practice Manager at Madison Financial Group, Jason Gapps, has been appointed to the position of Practice Engagement and Growth Manager at licensee Fortnum Private Wealth.
Commencing in the role from 1 November and reporting to Fortnum’s Head of Practice Engagement and Growth, Rob Skinner, Gapps’ appointment signals the firm’s focus on working closely with advisers.
“The needs and expectations of advisers and their clients are changing, and we must also continuously evolve our proposition to support our aligned practices,” Fortnum group chief executive and Managing Director, Neil Younger, said at the 2022 Fortnum Annual Conference on Tuesday.
“Jason is well respected across the industry, and he is a great addition to our team.”
Prior to his time at Madison Financial Group, Gapps was a Senior Financial Adviser at Hunter Wealth Financial Advisers and held other senior positions at ANZ Wealth, BT Financial Group and the Commonwealth Bank.
“I’ve worked directly with many fantastic financial planning businesses and principals over many years, and I’ve been an adviser myself so I have an intimate understanding of how advice businesses operate and the challenges and opportunities they are facing,” Gapps said.
“Notwithstanding the challenges, this is a great time to be an adviser. Advice is increasingly recognised as a profession and demand is increasing, giving those who have decided to remain in the industry the opportunity to build exceptional businesses and help more people.”
“I am excited about Fortnum’s unique offer and the chance to work with Neil and Rob again and be part of this great group.”
