GBST appoints new head of product innovation

WealthTech firm, GBST has announced the appointment of former DST Solutions and Bravura executive, Simon Clare as its new head of product innovation.
In his new role, he would be responsible for GBST’s innovation program, leading the charge in defining and shaping the company’s visionary strategy including its Composer wealth administration platform, the digital wealth platform Catalyst, its range of interactive financial tools and calculators, and the newly acquired WealthConnect adviser practice management system based on Salesforce.
Clare, who will be based in London, has experience across the UK, South African, Australian and continental European markets.
He has also worked in financial services technology for more than 20 years, in both chief technology officer and chief product officer roles in wealth and asset management.
Before joining GBST, Simon was chief product officer at FE fundinfo. Prior to that, he spent nine years working for Bravura and eight at DST Global Solutions (now SS&C Technology).
“Simon brings a vast amount of industry knowledge and experience to GBST, as well as a proven track record in delivering technology vision within the wealth management sector. We’ve spent the last few years transforming the underlying tech stack of our Composer platform, but innovation in wealth management doesn’t stand still,” Robert DeDominicis, chief executive at GBST, commented on the appointment.
