Ausbil named Financial Newswire/SQM Research Fund Manager of the Year

A solid investment team and adherence to process have helped deliver Ausbil the laurels as the Financial Newswire/SQM Research Fund Manager of the Year for 2022.
Ausbil took out the Fund Manager of the Year Award on the back of the performance of its funds and investment teams which made the fund manager a finalist in six categories – Australian Equities – Large Cap, Australian Equities – Small/Mid Cap, Multi-sector Growth, Long/Short Equities, Emerging Funds, and Responsible Investments (ESG).
And according to Ausbil chief executive, Paul Xiradis it helps when you have good teams and a good understanding of the economic and geopolitical environments you are working in.
Xiradis paid particular tribute to Ausbil’s research team which he pointed out worked to assist all the fund manager’s investment teams.
The Financial Newswire Lifetime Achievement Award was won by, Graham Rich, the founder of the Portfolio Construction Conference and the firm which formed the basis for the entry to Australia of research and ratings house, Morningstar, Graham Rich.
Rich, who has been fundamental to creating forums aimed at sharing knowledge and understanding across the Australian and New Zealand financial services sectors, said he was happy to have had his work recognised with the Lifetime Achievement Award.
