Datt Capital fund ranked top performer

The Datt Capital Absolute Return Fund has been ranked as the top performing Equity Long Only Fund in Australia for 2022 by US-based data and indices specialist BarclayHedge.
According to data, since its inception in August 2018 the fund has achieved an average return of 15.65% a year and posted a return of 12% for calendar year 2022.
Datt Capital chief investment officer and founder Emanuel Datt describing the recognition for an outstanding performance said that “the biggest reward was the satisfaction of delivering market leading returns for our clients.”
“We only invest long are not constrained by benchmarks and undertake much original research to identify opportunities and to test investment themes,” he said.
The Fund’s largest sector exposure has been energy. Its top holdings are coal mining, port handling and logistics company New Hope Corporation, and miners Whitehaven Coal and Yancoal.
