Former First Sentier CIO, David Dixon, joins Magellan board

The former Chief Investment Officer (CIO) at First Sentier Investors, David Dixon, has been appointed to the board the Magellan Global Fund ahead of his appointment to the board of Magellan Financial Group.
Magellan announced to the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) that Dixon is being appointed as a non-executive director and deputy chairman with effect from 1 November.
Magellan chairman, Robert Fraser said the board welcomed Dixon’s extensive experienced as a senior investment leader, and company and trustee director,.
“His deep investment experience will be invaluable to the Magellan group and we look forward to his contribution for the benefit of our clients,” Fraser said.
Dixon said he looked forward to working with the Board “as we focus on the future”.
