Northern Trust Integrated Trading Solutions up

Northern Trust Capital Markets has reported a “rapid growth” in its Integrated Trading Solutions which more than doubled over the past three years and managed to attract 22 new clients last year.
At the moment, Northern Trust has more than 90 integrated trading solutions clients across the globe, with some based in the United States, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Australia, New Zealand and Asia.
The firm said the growth was driven by asset managers choosing the platform for their outsourced trading needs.
Northern Trust’s global head of brokerage, Glenn Poulter, said that this was in response to the fact that achieving alpha had become more difficult than ever and by outsourcing trading function managers could focus on investment decisions.
The firm’s solution offers expertise in equities and fixed income, exchange traded derivatives, futures and exchange traded funds (ETFs) across global markets, while helping asset owners to manage regulatory compliance and enhancing operational efficiency, the firm said.
