NZ investment firm takes up Bloomberg’s research offering

New Zealand-based investment manager, Milford Asset Management, has extended its existing use of Bloomberg’s integrated business offering by adopting its flagship Research Management Solutions.
Once in effect, Bloomberg’s enterprise-level research solutions (RMS Enterprise) will streamline Milford’s research capabilities through automation and internal information sharing, improving the transparency and efficiency across Milford’s investment suite – and its sustainable investment research, in particular – for clients and investors
RMS Enterprise joins the ranks of Milford’s use of proprietary Bloomberg solutions as the investment firm has previously integrated PORT Enterprise with its services. Combining the research and data analytics power of RMS Enterprise with the portfolio and risk analytics capabilities of PORT Enterprise, Milford is well supported in its endeavours to create automated analyst model portfolios.
“We are pleased to adopt Bloomberg’s Research Management Solutions to enhance our research capabilities,” Wayne Gentle, Chief Investment Officer and Executive Director at Milford, said.
“The smooth and easy integration with both the Bloomberg Terminal and our existing technology solutions enables us to streamline our processes and efficiently share and manage research across teams.”
Milford also confirmed its other investment teams outside its research division will also have access to other “Bloomberg Terminal workflows” as a result of the RMS Enterprise integration.
“As the macro-economic environment remains unpredictable and drives further market volatility, today’s leading buy-side firms rely on the efficient use of first-class research to generate alpha,” Ben Pool, Sales Manager for New Zealand and Australia, at Bloomberg, said.
“We are delighted to provide Research Management Solutions to Milford to streamline and enhance their investment cycle and workflows so they can continue to deliver actionable insights to their end investors.”
