Zurich appoints new CIO

Zurich Financial Services Australia has appointed Matthew Drennan as the group’s new Chief Investment Officer for Australia, effective from 1 December.
The previous Head of Savings and Investments, Drennan will take responsibility for the firm’s approximate $9.7 billion in funds under management (FUM).
The appointment comes as Zurich seeks to accelerate its global strategy and grow its unit linked pension offering and division worldwide.
Drennan will now report to Zurich chief executive for Australia and New Zealand, Justin Delaney, and Regional Chief Investment Officer for the APAC region, Matt Vincent.
