Agree Jim – a number of us outside observers have been warning of exactly this but the paid full-time regulator has only now realised it’s a concern??? Fwits at ASIC, a current corrupt sitting-Labor Gov and the prior inept Frydenburg & hopeless Morrison led Libs, what a farce.

Mind you, begs the question, how much exactly do you think was ASIC’s kickback (especially to their personal offshore bank accounts) do you think the union funds paid for all the prior insider trading proof that was swept under the rug with no penalties, when big super directors & investment heads made good during COVID and on other big trades their funds were doing?

Surely ASIC, nothing to worry about :-/
For at least the last decade Industry Super Funds magic pudding returns of unlisted assets have been allowed to make up returns as it suits them.
Only a decade late so far ASIC, who will now wait until the crap really blows up before doing anything.

Wow, who would have ever seen this disaster coming. Certainly didn’t seem to occur to the genius Frydenburg when he decided that 6 giant super funds was a good idea, while destroying advisers with FOFA.

If this continues we won’t need an ASX. The super funds will own everything and will apply their own valuations to beat the YFYS ratings (another own goal from Josh).

Can someone who understands capital markets please take a role in Government. Please.
