Linda Elkins appointed to AMP boards

AMP has confirmed the appointment of KPMG wealth and superannuation executive, Linda Elkins, to its AMP Limited and AMP Bank boards, following the departure of Andrea Slattery.
In a statement to the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX), AMP announced Slattery would be stepping down from her role as an Independent Non-Executive Director from 31 August, after six years of service including as Chair of the Audit Committee and the ESG & Sustainability Advisory Group.
Elkins’ appointment to AMP’s boards will come into effect from 1 September.
“I want to thank Andrea for the significant contribution she has made to the AMP Board over the past six years,” Mike Hirst, Chairman of AMP, said.
“Her passion for this business has been evident in how she has carried out her duties, while her industry experience and extensive ESG knowledge have brought important insights to the Board’s decision making. The Board is very appreciative of Andrea’s efforts throughout her tenure, which was a time of significant transformation for the company.
“I am also excited to be welcoming Linda to the Board. Linda’s impressive experience in platforms and superannuation will be of tremendous value, and her breadth of industry knowledge is undoubted.
“Linda’s skills and expertise will be especially important as AMP continues its focus on the growth of its North platform and superannuation businesses.”
Prior to spending six years as KPMG’s National Sector Leader, Asset and Wealth Management, Elkins also held the role of Executive General Manager at Colonial First State.
Elkins was also the recipient of the Woman of the Year award at Financial Newswire‘s Women in Wealth Awards 2024, before joining the judging panel for the Women in Wealth Awards 2025. She was recognised for her more-than-20-years-long career in the superannuation sector and for her efforts in improving the outcomes of female super members, as well as being one of many industry leaders advocating to the government to pay super on Commonwealth Paid Parental Leave (PPL).

Well deserved Linda, so very proud of you and all you have achieved.
