UniSuper, TelstraSuper win Chant West awards
UniSuper and TelstraSuper have taken out the top prizes at the Chant West Super Fund Awards in Sydney, Super Fund of the Year and Pension Fund of the Year respectively.
UniSuper also won the category of Best Fund: Advice Services, while AustralianSuper, last year’s Super Fund of the Year, won Best Fund: Investments.
This was also the first year celebrating a new category, Best Fund: Responsible Investment, in recognition of this issue that has become important for fund members and the wider community. The award was won by Aware Super.
Ian Fryer, General Manager of Chant West, said the government and regulators have increased expectations for super funds regarding member outcomes assessments, heatmaps and the performance test.
“For our 2022 ratings, we’ve also raised the bar on the standard we require for a fund to receive our highest rating of 5 apples. In this year’s awards we wanted to highlight those funds that keep raising the bar to drive better outcomes for their members,” he said.
“The awards was a wonderful celebration of the hard work that funds do to deliver a financially comfortable retirement for their members.”
Australian Retirement Trust took out three awards including Corporate Solutions Fund of the Year, Best Fund: Member Services and Best Fund: Longevity Product.
Cbus closely followed with two awards in the Specialist Fund of the Year and Best Fund: Integrity categories, with TelstraSuper also picking up a second win for Best Fund: Insurance.
Hostplus took the win for Best Fund: Innovation and Netwealth won Advised Product of the Year.
