Rose Partners continues expansion plans with MSI Taylor deal

AZ NGA-backed accounting and advisory firm, Rose Partners, has continued its national expansion efforts by securing a new partnership with Queensland-based MSI Taylor.
The partnership builds on Rose Partners’ existing advisory expertise across the pharmaceutical, construction, health, and professional services sectors among corporate and business clients, which was cited as a strong point of alignment with MSI Taylor’s own accounting and advisory business and client base.
According to Ben Simon, Partner at Rose Partners, the two firms share several corporate and pharmacy clients, which signalled them to move forward with the partnership.
“MSI Taylor is an exceptional business with high calibre clients and a similar philosophy and culture to us, which makes them the ideal fit,” he said.
“Together we can increase our capability and capacity, drive efficiencies, and capture growth opportunities.”
Matthew Harris, Managing Partner of MSI Taylor, said the partnership provides a wide range of benefits to MSI Taylor’s clients and employees, including a dedicated management and leadership team, a broader suite of services on offer and greater professional development opportunities.
“This deal frees me up to focus on the areas I’m good at and where I can add the most value, which is working with clients,” he said.
“Both businesses are aligned in terms of our values, and there is an overlap of specialist skills, but Rose Partners is also very strong in some areas where we are lacking and vice versa, so there is a lot of opportunity.
“We look after some extremely large and successful companies, many of which have been a client of ours since they were fledgling start-ups and small businesses.
“We are extremely proud of the client longevity and loyalty we have, and look forward to continuing to deliver exceptional service and value.”
The deal is also bolstered by the merger and acquisition (M&A) expertise provided to Rose Partners by professional services firm, AZ NGA, combined with its existing inhouse capabilities delivered by Chief Operating Officer and Partner, Natasha Chambers.
“We have a unique culture and ethos, and we’re looking to share, what we call, our magic sauce with other firms that are focused on growing and providing the best possible service to clients,” Chambers said.
“Expanding along the east coast is a natural progression for our business and we’re looking to continue expansion in Melbourne, Sydney, Gold Coast and possibly Adelaide through both M&A and organic activity.
“There’s plenty of activity and there will be more consolidation over the next few years, due to factors like capacity constraints, and the war for talent.
“Firms are increasingly turning to M&A not only to address resourcing challenges but also to achieve scale, streamline operations, and improve profitability in a rapidly evolving landscape.
“It’s becoming increasingly difficult for smaller firms to attract, develop and retain talent, and we want to partner with these firms to help them achieve their goals and position themselves for long term success.”
The partnership with MSI Taylor will see Rose Partners expand to eight partners and 75 employees, based across Victoria, Brisbane and the Gold Coast.
