AMP has announced a slew of upgrades to its adviser platform North, including a first-ever direct document upload and messaging capability, and a real-time tracker for client tasks.

The enhancements promise to “reduce follow-ups, minimise delays, and enable real-time servicing without leaving the platform”, AMP said.

Among the upgrades include a newly enhanced Activity Management Dashboard – a centralised tool to help advice practices manage and track client activities.

The Dashboard features a newly enhanced workflow progress bar, enabling advisers and their support staff to view the full status of in-progress activities with their clients, including the tracking of task completion and a view of upcoming priorities.

Advisers will also see estimated completion dates on the dashboard – a feature currently available to advisers performing switch transactions, to be extended to all transactions by the end of this year, AMP confirmed.

A newly launched feature will enable the direct uploading of documents to the North platform, with advisers also able to send secure messages directly tied to a case and access a full audit trail of updates via the platform’s Activity Log.

AMP general manager adviser experience and digital Peter Batsakis said the document upload feature has already delivered a 35% improvement in task processing efficiency over email.

“It’s a great example of how simple, well-designed digital tools can have a big impact on adviser experience,” he said.

AMP said the enhancements were a direct response to adviser feedback, with advisers calling for improved in-platform support for client follow-up and response.

These new features, Batsakis added, “not only streamline processes but also empower advisers with the tools they need to deliver exceptional service to their clients”.

“They bring clarity, structure and greater control to day-to-day servicing, helping practices spend less time chasing updates and more time focusing on their clients.”
