Bombora signals next stage of growth with senior appointment

Risk advice and insurance sales veteran, David Mounsey, has joined the Melbourne-based team at Bombora Advice in a newly created role of Business Growth & Development Manager.
Formerly in executive roles at both AIA and TAL, Mounsey brings a wealth of industry experience to the new role, where he will be responsible for growing Bombora’s risk specialist marketplace strategy and spearheading its next growth phase.
Mounsey will work to onboard new practices or advisers to Bombora’s national network of risk advice practitioners, as well as building on existing relationships to develop a referral network with other professional service firms, such as accounting, law and wealth advice.
“I’m excited to have the opportunity to contribute to Bombora’s ongoing success and to work with the organisation’s highly motivated and respected risk advice practitioners,” Mounsey said on his new position.
“The role of Business Growth & Development Manager provides me the opportunity to assist advisers and practices to enhance and lift productivity and capitalise on business opportunities in an increasingly complex and challenging financial services environment.”
Bombora chief executive, Wayne Handley, said the new appointment comes at a time of industry change and at a turning point for the licensee.
“Even though conditions are challenging – the opportunities for quality risk advice firms has never been better,” he said.
“Time has validated for Bombora that specialisation is the foundation for long-term success and driver of a more innovative approach to delivering risk advice.
“With the appointment of David Mounsey, Bombora is well placed to capitalise on its reputation and marketplace offer to further position Bombora as an industry leader – and leverage and expand the group’s resources and capabilities to a broader base of risk advice practitioners and practices.”
