Count picks up thriving SA practice from Insignia

Count has announced a new addition to its adviser network, with regional South Australia-based advisory business, Murray Nankivell, announcing its decision to switch from Insignia.
Founded in regional SA nearly 40 years ago, Murray Nankivell boasts accounting, taxation, business advisory, SMSF and succession planning services.
Confirming the licensee swap – from the Insignia-owned AFSL Consultum to Count – Murray Nankivell director Tony Bedworth said the firm was won over by positive third-party endorsement of Count.
“Speaking to a number of our peers who were already with Count gave us confidence that this was the business we wanted to partner with,” Bedworth said.
Andrew Kennedy, group head of advice at Count, welcomed the addition of Murray Nankivell to its adviser network.
“Tony and the team bring significant experience to our expanding adviser community. They are extremely professional to deal with and truly embrace Count’s culture of peer-sharing and collaboration.
Count recognised Murray Nankivell’s deep “connection with its clients based on strong community ties”. The firm ranked 73 on the AFR’s Top 100 Accounting Firms.
While the firm operates Australia-wide, the majority of its clients are rural and in close proximity to its three primary country SA offices – in Naracoorte, Bordertown and Murray Bridge.
“These are relatively small towns, so the communities are tight-knit and often have similar needs and circumstances. That means we are uniquely placed to offer the right support and build those connections,” Bedworth said.
Murray Nankivell is Count’s second acquisition in as many months. Last month, Tailored Lifetime Solutions, a Melbourne-based and formerly AMP-licensed financial planning business, announced its decision to switch to Count.
