Brendan Johnson, the former General Manager of Insignia Financial licensee, TenFifty, has joined Encore Advisory Group as a new partner, as well as Advice Specialist and Business Coach.

Johnson will be responsible for building and nurturing relationships with both small-to-medium enterprise (SME) financial advice businesses and institutional clients.

“The future of the financial advice profession is as positive as it’s ever been, and the quality of the capabilities and people at Encore are
well placed to help more businesses as they grow and evolve to meet the needs of their clients,” he said.

“Having worked in or with SME financial advice businesses in different capacities over 25 years, joining Encore was the ideal way to continue to work with quality businesses and culturally aligned people to enable them to achieve their personal, business and life goals, and help make a positive difference to the clients of these businesses.

“Having previously worked with both Mark and Tom, I know they both have their clients’ best interests at heart in everything they do, are values driven highly skilled and talented professionals, and are both as passionate as I am about the financial advice profession, and helping SME entrepreneurs achieve their goals.”

Johnson brings over two decades of experience across wealth management and financial advice to the new role, having held leadership roles at Insignia and MLC/NAB as well as worked in strategy, practice development, financial planning and sales.

Encore Advisory Group Managing Partner, Mark Zaglas, and Partner, Tom Reddacliff, both welcomed Johnson to the business.

“At Encore, we’re driven by our mission of helping advice businesses thrive and empowering them to deliver more advice to more Australians. I’ve had the privilege of knowing Brendan for over 15 years, during which he has excelled in senior roles across investment platforms, insurance and advice, driving significant outcomes for his clients,” Zaglas said.

What truly sets Brendan apart, though, is his integrity, passion, and sense of purpose – qualities that inspire everyone around him. We’re delighted to welcome Brendan to Encore, where his leadership will accelerate our mission to support advice businesses grow and make a greater impact.”

“When it comes to financial advice the impact it has on people’s financial lives transcends to important areas such as mental health,” Reddacliff said.

“Brendan has held senior leadership roles over the past 20 years in the industry; however, it’s his sense of purpose that has earned the respect of the advisers in those businesses. Brendan genuinely cares and that is why I’m delighted to see him join Encore and continue our long and valued association.”
