In what represents the first major event to be conducted in the wake of the successful vote for a merger between the Financial Planning Association (FPA) and the Association of Financial Advisers (AFA) the two organisations will conduct a united roadshow over three months.
They are billing the roadshow as the first major event under the Financial Advice Association of Australia brand to kick off from 3 April and continue continue through May and June.
The theme of the united roadshow is Policy, Practice, People – A united pathway for members.
The event is being marketed as an opportunity to hear from the FPA chief executive, Sarah Abood and Chair David Sharpe, and AFA chief executive, Phil Anderson, on upcoming changes following the merger, as well as the policy and advocacy activities taking place.
The roadshow comes at an important time as members of both associations decide to renew or join the new, combined body.
