George out as AMP CEO, Vernon in

Alexis George is to retire as chief executive of AMP Limited and will be succeeded by Blair Vernon.
AMP announced today that George will retire from executive roles effective from 30 March.
It said Vernon, AMP’s chief financial officer, had been appointed following a thorough internal and external search process.
The announcement by AMP chair, Mike Hirst said the appointment ensures a seamless transition and ongoing execution of key strategic initiatives.
