Financial planning firm, Wattle Partners, has inked a deal with the Australian Shareholder Association (ASA), in an effort to improve financial literacy and promote informed investment decisions.

As part of the deal all new and existing clients of Wattle Partners will have complimentary ASA membership, granting access to a plethora of tools and resources including investor education programs, community events, and advocacy initiatives that support investor rights and financial literacy.

Wattle Principal, Drew Meredith, said the partnership speaks to the financial planning firm’s goal to “equip Australians with the financial knowledge needed to navigate the investment landscape and fostering a robust, and informed investor community”.

“We are always looking for a way to educate our clients, and by forming this partnership with the ASA, our clients will receive the best investment resources and education.”

The deal follows in the wake of the merger between the Australian Investors Association (AIA) with ASA in November 2023 and comes alongside the launch of the ASA Financial Adviser Directory, in which member advisers will support the association’s financial literacy goal by creating educational content in the form of articles, podcasts and presentations.

“For over 60 years, ASA has served as the voice of retail investors in Australia,” ASA chief executive, Rachel Waterhouse, said.

“This first-of-its-kind partnership with Wattle and launching the ASA Financial Advisers Directory Panel enables us to reach a broader audience, giving more Australians the resources they need to navigate the financial landscape and make empowered investment decisions.”
