Aussie wealthtech hopes to accelerate global expansion with senior hire

HeirWealth, developer of an Australian-first family wealth management platform, has announced the appointment of Jason Nyilas to a new senior role tasked with accelerating the Aussie wealthtech’s overseas expansion.
Appointed to the new role of executive adviser, Nyilas, who has extensive experience in the wealth and tech space, will be tasked with supporting HeirWealth’s expansion of its technology, integrations and client base in both Australia and the United Kingdom.
The firm’s latest senior hire will also assist in the rollout of its white-labelled solution to the wealth management community, including advisers, wealth managers, trusted accountants, lawyers and other professionals.
Ray Tubman chief executive of HeirWealth said the appointment of Nyilas is “strategically important” to the firm’s mission “to harmonise the intergenerational wealth transfer and help people create timeless legacies”.
“Jason is a very talented businessperson with a wealth of knowledge in financial services. His role will allow HeirWealth to expand our reach to individual families and family offices in Australia and the UK.
Nyilas has notched up more than 35 years of international experience in financial services, specialising in wealth management, pensions and digital technology. He has worked in industry and professional services firms on strategy, sales, marketing, operations, M&A and digital transformation.
Most recently, he served at UK wealth management giant abrdn for over five years as its Australian head of retirement and digital innovation, tasked with growing its suite of retirement products.
Previously, Nyilas was IBMʼs global wealth management and pensions leader, working extensively in the US and the UK, and a partner at EY in the financial services practices in Australia and overseas wealth register.
Following his departure from abrdn, Nyilas also joined Melbourne-based digital advice business moneyGPS in an adviser role.
Commenting on his new role, Nyilas said he was “excited to work with such a progressive fintech as HeirWealth”, noting the wealthtech is the first product and service of its kind to simplify and address existing problems in intergenerational wealth transfer and the management of family wealth assets.
Founded by Ray Tubman, HeirWealth is an all-in-one family wealth management platform boasting, it says, “a holistic view of family wealth”. According to the firm, the platform can manage and track more than 40 asset classes securely, offer daily valuations of more than 150,000 global financial instruments across 160 global exchange rates, and provide vital input into estate planning and beneficiary asset transfers.
