Fundhost enlists SS&C as tech & admin partner

Australian boutique fund administration trustee and services partner Fundhost has selected SS&C as its outsourced technology and administration services partner.
Under the agreement, Fundhost will adopt SS&C’s technology platform to support its unit registry and fund administration operations.
As part of the transition, 10 Fundhost employees have also joined SS&C’s Sydney office to support the transition to SS&C, ensuring “continuity of service and a seamless onboarding process for Fundhost clients”.
Fundhost offers responsible entity, trustee, accounting, compliance and administration, product design, registry and, via a strategic relationship with HSBC, custody services.
Its platform currently oversees $2 billion in assets under management. Specialised for boutique funds management firms, Fundhost’s clients include Polen Capital, ThirdLink, Datt Capital, DMX, EGP Capital, and ARA Consultants.
Fundhost boasts that it has supported the development of some of Australia’s most successful boutiques.
Fundhost joint-chief executive Drew Wilson said SS&C was selected “for their proven expertise across private markets, hedge funds, and active ETFs, as well as their global infrastructure”.
Wilson added: “With access to SS&C’s technology and operational resources, we’re well-positioned to broaden our capabilities while maintaining the high level of service our clients rely on.”
SS&C’s head of transfer agency for its Global Investor & Distribution Solutions Australia arm, Euan McLeod welcomed the new partnership and opportunity to “deepen our presence in the Australian market”.
SS&C recently announced the renewal of its longstanding technology partnership with FES Super, with the company signalling its ambitious growth plans in the Australian market.
The US-headquartered firm currently services 22,000 clients globally with more than $45 trillion in assets run on its technology.
