Novigi appointments

Novigi, a specialist IT services provider for the wealth sector, has appointed two expert technologists tasked with advancing the firm’s data management platforms and solutions development.

Dr Charlotte Marra and Dr Martin Roberts will join Novigi as principal consultants specialising in cloud and machine learning (ML) technologies.

Marra currently serves as a partner within Deloitte’s consulting practice, specialising in corporate cloud transformation initiatives. The experienced technologist has notched up nearly two decades in transformation and cloud-focused roles, including stints at Google and IBM. Marra has held key roles at big four banks CBA and NAB.

Roberts, meanwhile, will join Novigi as a consultant in data science, ML and AI. The analytics expert boasts more than two decades’ experience in the data space, including more specialised roles – notably, as principal data scientist at NEOM and GASTAT.

Novigi has also appointed Anita Owen to a newly created role leading the strategic management of Novigi’s professional services capability.

Owen, who also boasts transformation experience, joins from KPMG where she was director of transformation delivery. She also served stints at MLC Life Insurance, recognised for leading sustainable cost-reduction initiatives, Transurban and AMP.

Novigi chief executive Ash Priest welcomed the new appointees as a “reflection of our commitment to pairing market-leading data and technology products and propositions with deep industry expertise”.

“Anita and Charlotte’s appointments also reflect our commitment to enhancing female leadership diversity as a key part of our business strategy,” he said.

“We are firm in our belief that broad representation at all levels is a key driver of commercial success, and this includes building a balanced and inclusive leadership team.”

Priest added that the wealthtech developer was actively seeking to scale and boost its presence in Australia’s super sector, adding that “it is important that we assemble the right team” for the task.

Founded in 2016, Novigi boasts tailored advisory and technical services for FSIs “across the full data and technology life cycle, establishing successful partnerships with Mercer, Apex, AMP, Australian Retirement Trust and CSC, among others.

Early last year Novigi secured an outsourcing deal with Mercer’s Wollongong business, including technology and infrastructure support services.
