Praemium says outflow headwinds have eased

Having finally digested its early 2024 acquisition of the OneVue platform business from Iress, Praemium says its outflow headwinds have eased.
Announcing its December quarter flows, Praemium pointed to total funds under management (FUA) being up 14% to $70.5 billion but, at the same time, acknowledged continuing outflows.
It said platform FUA was up 8% to $32.5 billion including quarterly net inflows of $462 million, but this was set against gross outflows including $361 million for exiting advisors.
“These outflows will diminish over time,” the company’s commentary said.
It said the company had built on a strong first quarter resulting in a solid first half underscoring the effectiveness of its strategy focus on the high net worth segment reflected in its Spectrum platform which achieved net inflows of $266 million growing FUA to $3.6 billion.
It said the organic growth had been driven by “robust demand for the next generation IDPS solution and increasing traction among HNW advisers.
The ASX update said that transition of OneVue assets onto the Praemium platform had been completed and that, overall, since acquisition, OneVue FUA has been transferred to Spectrum ($1,936 million) SMA ($959 million) and Scope $203 million).
Commenting on the quarter, Praemium chief executive, Anthony Wamsteker noted the strong inflows into Spectrum and growth in FUA with respect to its Scope+ offering.
He said the OneVue transition had been successfully completed in the quarter.
“The results reflect the strength of our product suite and the strategic progress 2we’re making across the business,” Wamsteker said.
“While adviser transitions and OneVue asset transfers have impacted outflows in past quarters, we’re seeing encouraging signs that these headwinds have eased.
“With sustained adviser interest, expanding engagement across both custodial and non-custodial platforms, and investment in innovation we remain confident in our long-term growth trajectory.”

This does not seem like an appealing "opportunity" at all.
