Atrium expands private markets team

Sydney-based Atrium Investment Management has made a new appointment in its private markets investment team, with William Morgan stepping into the newly created role of Portfolio Manager.
Morgan is set to work alongside Atrium’s Chief Investment Officer, Tony Edwards, in developing the firm’s private markets portfolio and capabilities and will be responsible for boosting the investment, governance and operational processes around Atrium’s private market assets including investments across property, debt financing and agriculture.
Morgan brings experience in direct investment, due diligence, technology and distribution to the new role and will only add to the firm’s capabilities in private markets and its product offering.
“Will is a skilled and highly complementary addition to our investment team,” Edwards said.
“His analytical skills and investment experience combined with his financial expertise and business acumen will be a great asset to the team to identify outstanding private markets investments and continue to drive our offering.
“Being able to leverage Will’s background within the Atrium investment process we expect brings a different to perspective to our existing capability and will be highly valuable in broadening our thinking. I’m delighted to welcome Will to the team as we continue to invest in and expand our capability.”
Morgan’s appointment comes after Atrium made another two additions to the team, with James White joining as an Investment Specialist and Serena Sefton as the new Head of Legal.
“I am excited to join a high performing team at such an important time in the evolution of the Atrium business,” Morgan said.
“I’m greatly looking forward to working with the team to drive growth across private market investment.”
