Lonsec Research has delivered a ‘Recommended’ rating for the private equity secondaries fund managed by Coller Capital, which comes amid a surge in investor appetite for private markets opportunities.

Coller Capital’s Private Equity Secondaries Fund was designed with the investment goals and needs of high-net-worth (HNW) investors in mind, providing monthly liquidity and leveraging institutional-grade portfolio construction capabilities.

“This recognition by Lonsec is a testament to Coller’s innovation and leadership in secondaries,” Jake Elmhirst, Global Head of Private Wealth Secondaries Solutions at Coller Capital, said.

“Our Fund provides Australian investors with a unique combination of growth potential, diversification, and liquidity – all key attributes for navigating today’s market environment.

“We believe that we are leading the way in redefining private equity access for the Australian wealth sector, delivering solutions that align with investor goals and our firm’s commitment to excellence.”

The fund seeks to deliver risk-adjusted returns via exposure to 430 underlying companies spanning across a variety of industries and regions, harnessing the research power, underwriting strategies and “proprietary sourcing network” of Coller Capital’s investment team.

It also blends limited partner (LP)-led transactions with general partner (GP)-led opportunities to deliver a diverse and untapped secondaries offering for investors.

“Lonsec’s recognition underscores the strength of our approach in delivering high-performing private equity strategies tailored to Australian investors,” David Hallifax, Head of Australia and New Zealand Private Wealth Distribution at Coller Capital, said.

“By addressing barriers such as liquidity and accessibility, we believe we are setting a new benchmark for private wealth clients in this region.”
