ECP appoints second non-exec director

Wealth industry veteran Sandi Orleow has joined the $3 billion ECP Asset Management as non-executive director.
Announced today, Orleow becomes the boutique Australian investment firm’s second non-exec board member, joining Angela Obree and company founder and incumbent chair Dr Manny Pohl.
She currently serves on the boards of Pengana International Equities and the Sydney Financial Forum, and was formerly chair of CFA Societies Australia’s diversity council, a trustee director at Active Super, and a member of the ACT Treasury investment advisory board.
Pohl welcomed the appointment of highly credentialed Orleow, recognising her “passion for innovation, diversity and inclusion”.
“Sandi is an accomplished non-executive director in the funds management industry. Her experience across multiple geographies and demonstrated success in leveraging established processes into new markets will be valuable to ECP as we enter our next phase of growth, both locally and offshore,” he said.
Pohl noted her involvement and active engagement with professional associations, including CEW (Chief Executive Women), WOB (Women on Boards), the EY Director Program Alumni and the CFA Society, which, he said, “speaks volumes on her commitment to fostering environments that integrate new ideas into traditional businesses”.
“We are looking forward to having Sandi on our board and utilising her expertise to further grow and enhance our business,” Pohl said.
Orleow is qualified as a Chartered Accountant, has extensive consultancy experience, and was formerly a senior portfolio adviser at Perpetual and an adviser at start-up investment group Investible.
Founded in 2012 with offices in Sydney and London, ECP is a specialist active equity fund manager overseeing more than $3 billion in client funds.
