Former Platinum investment exec jumps ship to Atrium

The investment management division of Fitzpatricks Financial Group has appointed former Platinum Asset Management investment specialist, Charlie Brooks, as Client Portfolio Manager.
Brooks joins Atrium in the newly-created role just two days after his previous firm announced it had entered into an agreement to merge with fellow fund manager, L1 Capital.
Brooks will be responsible for developing the firm’s relationships with financial advisers and research houses, as well as managing the broader group’s relation to external asset consultant, Russell Investments.
Brooks previous roles include Investment Specialist and Head of Global Institutional Business at Platinum Asset Management, as well as similar positions at IFM Investors, Northward Capital and MLC Investment Management.
“I bring decades of investment management experience to this role, most of it spent working with pension funds, institutional asset consultants and endowments, but I’m extremely excited about being closer to the end client and supporting advisers to build customised
solutions for their high net worth and ultra-high net worth clients,” he said.
Brooks will report to Atrium’s Chief Investment Officer, Tony Edwards.
“Charlie will have a relentless focus on supporting our advisers, ensuring they have the necessary tools and resources to deliver exceptional client outcomes,” Edwards said.
“This includes comprehensive training, education, portfolio modelling, and reporting. Charlie will work closely with our financial advisers, championing their efforts and enhancing their ability to serve their clients effectively.
“As a firm, our purpose is to enrich the lives of our clients with the greatest probability of achieving their objectives underpinned by our risk-targeted investment philosophy.”
