GSFM appoints new NSW, ACT account manager

Former Macquarie Group business development manager, Lewis Bond, has joined GSFM as Key Account Manager (NSW, ACT) from 22 July.
Bond was most recently New Business Manager, Wealth Solutions at Macquarie, where he oversaw the development of new relationships within the intermediary market.
The appointment comes as GSFM recently announced two new fund manager partnerships with Europe-based Alantra Asset Management and Singapore-based Eastspring Investments. GSFM now represents nine fund managers in the Australian and New Zealand markets.
Reporting to GSFM National Distribution Manager, Steven Taylor, Bond will be responsible for managing existing relationships with financial advisers in New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory.
“Lewis brings a wealth of retail distribution experience from his tenure at Macquarie. He is joining the firm at a key time, with plans for a number of new investment strategies to be launched in coming months,” Taylor said.
“We look forward to welcoming Lewis to the team.”
GSFM Head of Retail Distribution, Stephen Fletcher, also welcomed Bond to the team and noted his expertise would be well suited to continue the firm’s growth phase.
“We have formed new partnership with several firms in the past 12 months to distribute their funds and strategies,” he said.
“We are seeing increasing interest in GSFM’s funds and strategies from intermediaries, and Lewis’ appointment will capitalise on this.
“He brings a solid background in the intermediary market to the role, and he has an established network with financial advisers across NSW and ACT.”
