IFM Investors completes renewable gas buy

The net zero offshoot of IFM Investors’ flagship infrastructure fund, the IFM Net Zero Infrastructure Fund (NZIF), has secured a majority stake in US-based renewable natural gas (RNG) player, GreenGasUSA.
The purchase provides long-term investment capital to support GreenGas as it looks to expand the scope of its extensive RNG projects and continue to convert and purify biogas from organic waste to pipeline quality RNG”.
GreenGas is NZIF’s inaugural investment in the low carbon fuels sector, and speaks to the fund’s mission to accelerate the global transition to net zero through investing in decarbonising essential infrastructure assets.
“We are excited to partner with IFM as we enter this next phase of growth,” Marc Fetten, CEO and Founder of GreenGas, said.
“Our mission remains the same – to help farmers, food processors and industrial manufacturers capture greenhouse emissions. Our new owners help accelerate this as we build out the platform.”
Kyle Mangini, Global Head of Infrastructure at IFM Investors, said the firm looks forward to growing the GreenGas business.
“We believe that our investment in GreenGas will help IFM deliver on its purpose to protect & grow the long-term retirement savings of working people.”
