IMAP recognises nine winners at 2024 Managed Accounts Awards
The Institute of Managed Accounts Professionals (IMAP) has announced the winners of its 2024 Managed Accounts Awards at a presentation ceremony in Sydney last night.
The nine category winners were:
- Licensee Managed Account – Perpetual Private
- Boutique Licensee – Alvia Asset Partners
- Responsible Investing – Lonsec
- Australian Equities – DNR Capital
- Australian Equities Small Cap – Accordius
- International Equities – Aoris Investment Management
- Fixed Interest – Bond Adviser
- Multi Asset – Innova Asset Management
- Innovation – Drummond Capital Partners
Toby Potter, IMAP Chair, said this year saw a larger number of entries at an even higher quality, reflecting the exponential growth and popularity of the managed accounts market.
“The winners, and indeed all the finalists, are evidence of the quality of the investment teams responsible for managed accounts. This development, plus the significant expansion of technology available to portfolio managers shows that portfolio management through managed accounts is at the cutting edge of the advice profession,” he said.
“We had more entrants this year than ever, and a wider variety of portfolios. We are demanding ever higher standards of ourselves as a profession and this is reflected in the standard of portfolio management from the asset consultants, investment teams and the advisers who connect these capabilities to each client’s own circumstances.”
Potter was also featured on this year’s awards judging panel, and was joined by seasoned investment strategist, Brad Matthews; co-founder of Select Asset Management, Dominic McCormick; founder of SQM Research, Louis Christopher; principal at Douglas Funds Consulting, Nigel Douglas; and Rob da Silva, now Head of Research at Research IP.
“The IMAP Managed Account Awards are only possible because of the commitment of the judges who dedicate considerable time, and the benefit of their professional expertise, to assessing the many entries which we receive. On behalf of all the entrants I want to than them for their efforts,” Potter said.
