InvestSense appoints in-demand MA exec

Portfolio construction and consulting firm, InvestSense, has hired industry veteran, John Nicoll, as Distribution Executive to address the overwhelming demand for managed accounts (MA) solutions.
The former National Head of Sales at Zenith Investment Partners, Nicoll played a part in founding and operating the firm’s managed accounts business and will assist in the delivery of InvestSense’s suite of multi asset managed accounts including direct Australian equities, exchange traded funds (ETFs) and managed funds.
Nicoll will also work on the firm’s Bespoke Portfolios, tailored strategies that suit the unique needs of advice practices and their clients across investment strategies, taxes and fees and integrating existing investments; as well as its Better World Portfolios, responsible investment solutions and ethically-aware portfolios focused on sustainable and impact investing.
“His expertise in the managed accounts space and extensive industry experience will be invaluable as we continue to provide differentiated solutions to investors through financial advisers,” Paul Carrington, Director and Distribution Executive at InvestSense, said.
“Managed Accounts are witnessing a surge in adoption across the industry due to several compelling reasons. Financial advisers are increasingly seeking investment solutions that not only fulfill compliance obligations but also energise their clients’ portfolios.
“Managed account structures allow for swift portfolio changes in response to market volatility, while investors benefit from greater engagement as all assets within the portfolio are visible via the platform.”
Nicoll’s appointment follows InvestSense reaching AUD$2 billion in assets under management (AUM) and the addition of Stephen Poole to its distribution team in late 2022.
