Maple-Brown Abbott makes new appointment

Maple-Brown Abbott Global Listed Infrastructure (MBA GLI) has announced the appointment of Greg Stark to a newly created role of investment director.
Stark has 14 years of experience in infrastructure investing and, in his new role, he would be working with MBA GLI’s wholesale distribution partners to build and service clients, both domestically and offshore, and develop the business’s US distribution capability.
Stark, who would be based in Sydney and report to co-founder and managing director, MBA GLI, Andrew Maple-Brown, was most recently director, institutional equities research sales at Shaw and Partners.
Before that, he worked for 14 years at RBC Capital Markets, where he guided institutional equity investors locally and globally with key strategic equities advice, investment strategies, trading and equity capital raisings.
Prior to RBC, Stark worked in global equities and foreign exchange at CMC Markets Australia and in equities – product control at ABN AMRO.
His appointment reflected an increased focus on building relationships and strengthening communications with international clients and the broader investment community.
“In addition to the Australian market, we see strong opportunities for growth offshore, particularly in the US and Europe, and believe Greg’s specialist infrastructure knowledge, including sectors and companies, and his track record working with global investors make him ideal for this next phase in our business,” Maple-Brown said.
