Northern Trust AM appoints head of quant portfolio management

Northern Trust Asset Management (NTAM) has announced the appointment of Matthew Lambert as its new head of Quantitative Portfolio Management, Asia Pacific.
In his new role, he would be responsible for bringing NTAM’s range of quantitative solutions and insights to institutional investors in Australia and New Zealand.
Lambert, who would be based in Melbourne, joined NTAM from Franklin Templeton where he spent the last 16 years as the lead portfolio manager for core Australian equities portfolios and tactical asset allocation strategies.
“The expansion of NTAM’s Australian footprint through portfolio management located here in Melbourne, Australia will enable us to better partner with and deliver solutions to our clients across Australia and New Zealand”, head of NTAM in Australasia, Bert Rebelo, said.
The manager has currently two offices in Australia, in Sydney and in Melbourne.
