Platinum names new CEO, Jeff Peters

Fund manager Platinum Asset Manager has appointed a new chief executive, Jeff Peters.
Peters succeeds Andrew Clifford who stepped aside from the chief executive role in August.
Platinum’s announcement to the Australian Securities Exchange said that Peters brought extensive experience to the role having previously led the institutional and international businesses at Columbia Threadneedle Investments and Putnam investments.
“Mr Peters’ experience and leadership will be vital as Platinum focuses on delivering strong investment outcomes and profit growth,” the announcement said.
Peters said he had long respected Platinum through his prior work dealings with Australia.
