QV Equities’ co-portfolio manager retires in 2023

The board of QV Equities has announced that Anton Tagliaferro will retire as co-portfolio manager of the QVE portfolio in 2023 and will transition his responsibilities to Simon Conn and Marc Whittaker.
Following this, Conn would continue as portfolio manager and Whittaker, who has worked in Australian equities since 1999, would be appointed as QVE co-portfolio manager to work alongside Conn.
Whittaker joined IML in 2016 and is also currently co-portfolio manager for IML’s Future Leaders and Private Portfolio Funds.
Tagliaferro, who was managing the QV Equities portfolio with Conn over the past eight years, commenting on his decision said he believed it was “the right time to start handing over management of the QVE portfolio” and would leave the portfolio in safe hands.
Chairman Peter McKillop said: “Marc’s knowledge and enthusiasm for investing in the mid to small cap area of the Australian sharemarket is evident to anyone who has met him.”
The company also advised that Tagliaferro would remain on the QV Equities board.
