Reilly reshapes Perpetual leadership

Perpetual Limited has revealed the executive shape of its business as a standalone asset management business.
The company announced its global leadership structure for its Asset Management business ahead of KKR taking the Wealth Management and Corporate Trust businesses.
It said Perpetual’s current Chief Operating Officer, Craig Squires would move to the role of Executive, Transitional Services, effectively immediately, while James MacNevin, formerly Head of Asia Pacific for State Street Global Adviser has been appointed as Chief Operating Officer and will take over from Squires.
The announcement said that Perpetual’s Chief Risk and Sustainability Officer would leave the group next year following an orderly handover to Allan Lo Proto who will be appointed as Chief Risk Officer.
Commenting on the changes, Perpetual Chief Executive and Managing Director, Bernard Reilly said they represented the first step in positioning Perpetual to become more efficient and to be a standalone, global multi-boutique asset management business.
“We are evolving our leadership model with an emphasis on relevant asset management expertise, clearer lines of accountability, agility and faster decision-making in the service of our clients,” Reilly said.
