SS&C to acquire Iress managed funds admin business

‘SS&C has moved to acquire Iress’ managed funds administration business.
SS&C announced the move today saying that acquisition would bolster its position as a leading transfer agent while significantly expanding its offering in Australia with top of the line unit registry capabilities.
It said around 150 team members were expected to join SS&C and would be reporting to Euan McLead who is the company’s head of Transfery Agency, APAC.
The announcement said the FMA team would augment SS&C’s capabilities with a full range of outsourced unit registry capabilities for Australian fund managers and custodians.
