TAL launches new Code of Ethics series

Life insurer’s financial adviser education platform, TAL Risk Academy, has launched a new program focused on financial planners and the advisers Code of Ethics.
The four webinars, which will be featured in the series starting in May, will provide advisers with knowledge of delivering high quality for clients and the courses will count towards advisers’ continuing professional development (CPD) requirements.
“This series will offer insights and tools which can be applied in practical, real-world scenarios, giving all participants the opportunity to develop their critical thinking, decision-making, and communication skills to better serve their clients,” TAL general manager, retail sales and new business, Beau Riley, said.
“The four live webinars will cover the latest industry requirements and obligations. The courses have been developed to give advisers access to our technical team’s expertise and insights around how to navigate and comply with the Code of Ethics, ensuring the best outcomes for clients.”
TAL Academy also offers a workshop, facilitated by its national technical manager David Glen and which is aimed at Professional Year new entrants, which also explores real client scenarios and how the Code of Ethics would apply through a live discussion with participants.

Thanks for this TAL. Unfortunately the ludicrous FASEA rules require advisers to do more ethics CPD hours than any other category, even though ethics content changes far less frequently. One day someone will write an ethics case study about the conflicted, unethical, FASEA Board!
