TAL releases 2025 risk academy program amid anniversary

Australian life insurer, TAL, has released the 2025 course curriculum for its Risk Academy, at the same time as the program celebrates 10 years in operation.
In its 10 years, the academy has welcomed just under 120,000 enrolments across hundreds of courses and has awarded over 185,000 CPD points to course takers, including financial advisers, Professional Year candidates and practice support staff.
This year’s program will be run on a new platform that also offers mobile access, with content based around five topics: Foundations, Professional Year, Advice, Business Management, and Working with TAL.
Just like other courses, TAL said the 2025 curriculum was created with input from “external experts and thought leaders” to address the educational requirements of every career stage, including new entrant, client service manager and business owner.
The 2025 program also offers a new training course intended for client support staff and paraplanners to focus on streamlining operations and administrative tasks as well as nurturing new and existing relationships.
“This is a celebration of all the financial advisers and educators who have made TAL Risk Academy the success it is today. We’re proud of the support it provides advisers through every career stage, and we look forward to continuing to strengthen the advice profession for the next decade and beyond,” Beau Riley, General Manager, Retail Sales & New Business at TAL, said.
“At TAL Risk Academy, we’ve always been focused on equipping advisers with the knowledge and skills they need to keep pace with industry and regulatory changes – along with Australians’ evolving advice needs. Our program is built around adviser feedback, ensuring our course offerings reflect what advisers have told us they need most to provide their clients with relevant, valuable advice.
“We are grateful for the support of the advice community over the past 10 years. Fees from TAL Risk Academy’s masterclasses go directly to the Australian Business Community Network (ABCN), supporting young, high-potential students who have faced significant barriers to accessing quality education. To date, we’ve donated an incredible $860,000. “With a decade of expertise behind us, TAL Risk Academy continues to innovate to empower advisers to feel ready for tomorrow.”
More useless posturing from the FAAA
A few years ago I watched this documentary about an African country (I won't name it). The doco makers went…
How does it cost $8,900 per case? Only a town like Canberra can come up with crap like this.
Blame Senator Jane Hume for creating the AFCA Frankenstein. We had two EDR's to chose. FOS (who were hopeless) and…
Bureaucracies grow. Always. When the Liberal Party creates them, this is inevitable.
