Equip unveils first-ever CXO appointee

Equip Super has announced its first appointee as permanent chief experience officer (CXO), with veteran member experience leader Carrie Norman taking on the recently created role.
Across her more than 15-year career in the super sector, Norman has held senior member and employee engagement roles at Cbus and ESSSuper. Most recently, she served as legalsuper’s chief member officer for just under two years.
Equip recognised Norman’s extensive experience in customer-focused roles, leading end-to-end member experience and engagement strategy, and overseeing brand, marketing, experience, digital channels, product, and employer relations, as well as member services and advice functions.
As Equip’s first permanent appointment to the CXO role, Norman will head the super fund’s newly established member experience business function, overseeing retirement, product, marketing and financial planning functions and end-to-end experience.
Equip said the latest C-Suite recruit “will be instrumental in driving our commitment to delivering exceptional member experiences” for its 140,000 members.
“We are confident that under her leadership, Equip Super will continue to set the standard for excellence in our industry and prepare our members for financial freedom in retirement.”
Norman replaces acting chief experience officer and current chief growth officer and employer relations officer Charlie Yanni.
Yanni stepped into the role on an interim basis following Equip’s announcement in March this year that it would create a dedicated CXO role.
