Advice, Wealth and Super: Rewired 2025
On the eve of the May Federal Election Financial Newswire’s Advice Wealth and Super Conference will examine whether the Government has actually addressed what the Assistant Treasurer and Minister for Financial Services, Stephen Jones, described as a ‘hot mess’ just before the last Federal poll in 2022.
It will examine what has been delivered via the Delivering Better Financial Outcomes legislation derived out of the Quality of Advice Review and what, if there is a change of Government, can be expected from a Liberal/National Party Coalition Government.
On the agenda are the continuing key issues of the cost of delivering advice, including the cost of the Compensation Scheme of Last Resort as well as the substance of submissions to the current Senate Economics Committee inquiry into the collapse of Dixon Advisory.
The 2025 Advice Wealth and Super Conference will also deliver keynotes from the senior executives who have been integral to the changing shape of the financial planning landscape, particularly the AZ-NGA/Entireti acquisition of the AMP financial planning businesses and the strategy deployed by Insignia Financial.
It will also traverse the way in which technology is helping drive financial advice efficiency and the manner in which the platforms technology provides have sought to make themselves a ubiquitous element.
Where superannuation is concerned, the conference will examine whether the superannuation performance test can actually accurately and fairly assess choice superannuation funds and what will be the future for the small to medium funds remaining in the sector.
