Count extends software deal with Iress

Iress has confirmed it has renewed its longstanding partnership with Count to provide its flagship financial advice platform.
The deal, which continues a more than decade-long partnership between the pair, confirms Count’s ongoing use of Iress’ popular advice software, Xplan, for the next three years, covering its financial advice business and growing wealth management division.
According to Iress, Xplan was re-selected by Count “based on its depth, efficiency and productivity”, as well as to “support its growth ambitions in a scalable and reliable way”.
In addition to extending the Xplan software licence, Iress confirmed that it will also provide professional development programs and events to increase Count advisers’ efficiency and effectiveness.
Iress’ executive general manager, wealth, APAC, Kelli Willmer, said the wealthtech developer was “delighted to provide the advice technology infrastructure” to support Count’s strong growth ambitions.
“We’re also pleased to work with Count on optimising their use of technology to drive efficiency and profitability for their advisers.
Xplan is Iress’s cloud-based financial advice hub, boasting “best practice” advice templates, workflows and automation, easy-to-use fact finds, comprehensive regulatory and legislative updates and powerful modelling tools.
Count, as of February this year, reports more than 360 financial advisers, more than 590 accountants in equity firms, and over 81,000 clients across Australia.
