The finalists for the inaugural Women in Wealth Awards 2024, in association with the Emerge Foundation, were announced yesterday afternoon, with a monumental 138 finalists sent through to the next round.

The Women in Wealth Awards recognise and reward women who have shown commitment to the financial services industry through leadership, innovation and advocacy in the fields they are passionate about. The awards acknowledge those women who have embodied the generational change and professionalism that the industry continues to reflect.

The awards celebrate women across the various sectors that make up the wider financial services and wealth management industry, including financial planning, investment, superannuation, life/risk insurance, technology, platforms and paraplanning. There are also several advocacy and overall awards to recognise the women making contributions to others and their communities, as well as standout individuals.

Ticket sales are live for those looking to purchase individual seats, standard tables of 10 or premium tables of 10 to support the finalists and celebrate the winners.

I am curious how an industry super fund paraplanner, whose scope of strategies and work would be severely curtailed by necessity to a small circle of super/pension/contribution and vaguely possibly death benefit strategies, could WIN the award versus independent paraplanners whose scope and breadth of work and expertise would vastly outreach hers???????

Love to have transparency on judging criteria and how these all were assessed!!!
