Ignition Advice signals impending hiring spree, starting with COO

Digital advice technology specialist, Ignition Advice, has flagged its newest appointment of Stuart Hamilton as Chief Operating Officer as the first of many senior hires to come as the firm gears up for its “next phase of growth”.
A statement from Ignition Advice confirmed Hamilton’s appointment would commence a spate of senior hires in the effort to strengthen its executive team, support business operations and delivery for clients, and meet the heightened demand for “enterprise digital advice” driven by renewed superannuation fund appetite.
Based in Sydney, Hamilton will spearhead Ignition’s global operations strategy across its Australian, United Kingdom and European client base, reporting to Dublin-based chief executive Terry Donohoe.
“Stuart’s appointment strengthens our growing executive team as we pursue our global expansion and marks the beginning of Ignition’s next phase of growth,” Donohoe said.
“Closing the advice gap is a global challenge, and delivering well for our partners is central to how we help meet it. Stuart’s experience helping leading institutions achieve their most ambitious goals will be a significant asset to Ignition and the partners we serve.”
Hamilton boasts close to three decades of experience across technology, consulting, and enterprise transformation, having spent over 10 years in regional senior leadership roles at Salesforce and more recently as chief executive of technology consultancy Ingenuity Partners.
He also previously enjoyed roles at AMP, Macquarie Group, Lion and News Limited.
“What drew me to Ignition is a leadership team that really understands what institutions and their customers need from advice and has built the technology to match,” Hamilton said.
“Digital advice, with the right guardrails, is the only way to deliver trusted advice at the scale people need to improve their financial wellbeing. Ignition is already doing this inside some of the world’s largest financial institutions.
“That’s exactly the work I want to be part of, and it’s an exciting time to join the team and help take it further.”
