Marketech partners with Chi-X Australia

Marketech Online Trading has announced its partnership with Chi-X Australia, giving clients direct access to the Australian alternate stock exchange and continuing its investor-centric and technology-first scheme.
Travis Clark, Chief Executive Officer of Marketech, said the partnership with Chi-X Australia signals the platform’s strength and ability to provide clients with technology-driven enhancements and a suite of new investment products.
“Our mission is to deliver a full-service non-conflicted platform that bridges the gap between platforms used by professional investors and those currently offered to most retail investors,” Clark said.
“As a technology company obsessed with making the best online trading platform for retail and wholesale investors, giving access to Chi-X Australia was a natural and seamless next step.”
Marketech Focus clients will now have access to the country’s second largest stock exchange and the Chi-X Funds market, a suite of 18 active and passive exchange traded funds (ETFs) that include the recently launched Fintech & Blockchain ETF (FTEC) and Cosmos Global Digital Miners Access ETF (DIGA).
Vic Jokovic, Chief Executive Officer of Chi-X Australia, applauded the addition of another Australian online broker to give more investors access to the alternate platform’s growing product range.
“Like Marketech, Chi-X Australia is focused on delivering innovative financial products and services and opening access to these products to all Australian investors,” Jokovic said.
“The future of the Australian financial services sector will be forged on using technology to solve pain points for investors. Two technology-focused companies like Chi-X Australia and Marketech coming together is an example where this is happening today.”
The retail investor offering will later expand to include data from Chi-X and other exchanges to provide a complete and in-depth overview of the Australian financial landscape.
“Marketech has always been concerned that the low-cost retail platforms are limiting live price data in a bid to reduce costs,” Clark said.
“By partnering with Chi-X Australia, Marketech can continue to build a platform that is professional-grade yet affordable and to level the playing field, not make it more risky.”
The new partnership with Chi-X follows Marketech’s relationship with online portfolio management tool, Sharesight, and the recent agreement to deliver independent market research and insights to clients from stock market newsletter, Marcus Today.
