Australian-based equities investment manager, Ausbil, has announced several new appointments in an effort to expand its sales and distribution team and support the firm’s funds under management (FUM) growth.

Dimitri Giannaras has joined as Business Development Manager in New South Wales and Marko Matosevic is the new Business Development Manager in Victoria, with Andrea McGarry promoted to Business Development Manager for Queensland and Northern Territory.

“We are thrilled to welcome Dimitri Giannaras and Marko Matosevic as Business Development Managers in our wholesale team, and to promote Andrea McGarry to her new role,” Hik Chadirchi, National Manager for Wholesale Clients at Ausbil, said.

“Andrea, Dimitri and Marko bring many years of industry experience in financial services and are focused on expanding our wholesale business across the country.”

McGarry joined Ausbil in 2020 from Magellan, bringing her 21 years of experience in the financial services industry to the role. She was also previously the Practice Manager and co-owner of a boutique financial advisory practice for more than ten years.

Giannaras and Matosevic joined Ausbil from Zurich Investment Management, with experience in managing investment fund distribution across global equities, Australian equities and Australian Real Estate Investment Trusts (AREITs).

The firm also promoted Fawaz Rashid to the position of Research Manager and State Distribution Manager, NSW to drive its business development growth plans in New South Wales.

“We are excited about our new sales colleagues, who will shore up Ausbil’s adviser and dealer group support across the nation, and this comes at an excellent time as our business experiences strong growth,” Chadirchi said.

This comes as the firm celebrates 25 years in the industry, now managing just over $16 billion in funds as of May 2022.
