Aviva Investors adds to APAC team

Aviva Investors has boosted its Asia Pacific senior team with the appointment of Shiqi Wang as Client Solutions Director, Global Client Solutions, Asia Pacific.
Wang’s appointment is the latest in a string of hires for Aviva Investors’ APAC client team, as she will be based in Singapore and work with the local client services team to expand the firm’s scope for distribution and implement its global institutional strategy across the region.
Wang joins Aviva Investors from Singapore-based Algebris Investments where she directed the business development and investor relations of the firm in Asia and the Middle East. She was previously an Investment Consultant at Mercer and worked in ANZ’s Singapore office for over seven years.
“With a heightened strategic focus in the Asia Pacific region, Shiqi’s appointment marks a key milestone in the firm’s regional growth strategy,” Richard Surrency, Head of Asia Pacific, Client Solutions at Aviva Investors, said.
“In 2023, we are expanding our relationships across the region, and Shiqi’s wealth of experience and industry expertise will be invaluable given the significance, scale and potential growth opportunities in this region.”
Wang brings close to two decades of industry experience and expertise in asset management and institutional sales. She will also report to Surrency after her appointment comes into effect.
