Bell Potter recruits corporate finance director from Citigroup

Bell Financial Group’s stockbroking and financial advisory subsidiary, Bell Potter, has expanded its corporate finance team with the appointment of Rob Jahrling as Director.
A former Olympian and silver medallist, Jahrling joins from Citigroup where he spent 15 years in several senior positions and was most recently Head of Capital Markets and Head of Equity Syndicate.
“With over 20 years of capital markets experience across Asia Pacific, Rob is known for exceptional strategic insight that clients value,” Bell Financial Group Head of Corporate Finance, James Unger, said.
“His proven ability to originate transactions and negotiate complex deals, along with his established corporate and investor relationships, make him a valuable addition to the team as we continue to expand our corporate advisory offering at Bell Potter.”
According to Bell Potter, its corporate finance team has executed over 100 transactions and raised over $2 billion in capital for its clients in the last 18 months, through to end of June.
“I’m excited to work with the team at Bell Potter and believe it’s an exceptional platform from which to add value to clients as they grow their businesses,” Jahrling said.
Jahrling’s experience also includes time spent at Deutsche Bank in Hong Kong and Credit Suisse in Sydney.
